🐴😎 Horse Blinders is here 🐴😎
“I should be decent. I should be fair.
But I don’t care”.
Let’s face it. At SOME point in our lives, we’ve all been mistreated by some sad sack whose high-and-holy attitude belittles the very skin you live in. What’s even more difficult to face is perhaps, at one point in time, that sad sack was YOU.
Horse Blinders is a tongue in cheek tip-of-the-cap to those who’ve accepted that they haven’t always been the best representation of themselves, but are constantly working towards their betterment.
I struggled with this a lot in college. My feeble attempts at acceptance were to be a condescending piece-of-shit to my peers. It was exhausting. And, as you can probably imagine, a huge waste of time. When you’re a twenty-something attending university for performance art, you do whatever it takes to receive and maintain attention. The unfortunate truth is that I didn’t make this realization until quite recently.
The first step in solving a problem is recognizing there is one.
I have'n’t always been the best representation of myself. So I wrote this song. Raising my hand to say, “Yeah, I get it. I was shitty and I’m not going to pretend that I wasn’t. But I’m aware and I’m sorry”.
This video was shot and edited by our friend at Sea Monstrosity Pictures. The song itself was recorded, produced, and mixed by our soulmate Mickey Postilion at Cycle Hum Studios and mastered by Grammy award winning producer Corban Roberts. We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it.
Friends and family, we give to you Horse Blinders.
